Gli effetti della guerra furono avvertiti in maniera pesante anche nella nostra citt\u00e0: un\u2019economia impreparata che compromettere l\u2019industria ed il commercio corallino. Unico comparto produttivo tra il 1914 e il 1918 \u00e8 la marineria torrese che si accresce di un cospicuo numero di velieri, solo<br \/>\nin parte costrui\u0013 nei can\u0013eri torresi (alcuni affonda. durante la guerra).
