Nino mi corregge e mi d\u00e0 l\u2019occasione per cercare l\u2019origine di questa parola che non trovo in altri dizionari, tranne in quello di Ponza, \u201cAlfazeta\u201d di Ernesto Prudente ma nell\u2019accezione di carico.<br \/>\nIl dialetto ponziano risente spesso di certi influssi torresi. Se la conclusione non vi sembra na fessaria, allora siamo veramente la gente \u201c&#8230;del Greco\u201d. vi\u00e0c\u00eb: naut. s. m. Barra del timone. Varra. etim. Dal greco &#8211; \u03bf\u03b9\u03ac\u03be &#8211; \u201coiax\u201d, barra del timone, con mutazione in \u201cviax\u201d, come da &#8211; \u03bf\u03b9\u03bd\u03bf\u03c3 &#8211; \u201coinos\u201d a vino.
