Le condizioni agiate da un lato e la moda dell\u2019epoca inducono il giovane Richard ad intraprendere gli studi religiosi. Pi\u00f9 che una volont\u00e0 del giovane fu una costrizione, tuttavia. Costretto a lasciare la citt\u00e0 si reca in esilio a Poiters. Fu proprio questo soggiorno durato circa<br \/>\n7 anni tra il 1752 ed il 1759, che il giovane approfondisce gli studi d\u2019arte, di incisione e di disegno essendo egli stesso dotato di qualit\u00e0 specifiche.
