Pompei<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

1828<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

Il viaggio che viene proposto nel testo di James Duffield \u00e8 carico di emozioni; spesso si allontana, intenzionalmente, dalla descrizione archeologica dei luoghi visitati. Sembra quasi un approccio didattico, quasi accademico e celebrativo, per poi sconfinare senza molte inibizioni nella lirica romantica del periodo sporico che lo tiene adeso alle radici della narrativa. E cos\u00ec il testo divente nella sua lingua originale, quasi un incanto, un risveglio onirico ma reale tra le vestigia di quella che osa definire non citt\u00e0 morta, ma vivente, ancora gaudente e solare come forse quell’ultimo giorno che la vide tale alle falde del Vesuvio. Un viaggio anche questo tra le antiche dimore appena dissepolte e umide, tra le strade lastricate che sembrano risuonare del passaggio dei carri e paiono ancora cantare per il vociare della calca. Le stampe a corredo del testo sono di alta qualit\u00e0 e soprattutto fedelt\u00e0 nei confronti dello scenario che intanto \u00e8 mutato nei secoli. Di ciascuna stampa si legge la didascalia, e gli autori e ci\u00f2 impreziosisce il documento che abbiamo voluto qui proporre.<\/p>\n
