Antologia curata da Vincenzo Pepe<\/span><\/h3>\n

Qui di seguito alcuni brani tratti dalla Prefazione al testo del professore\u00a0Vincenzo Pepe. L\u2019antologia che qui si propone ai lettori di Orazio e ai cultori di storia napoletana \u00e8 tratta da un\u2019opera ormai quasi dimenticata e pressoch\u00e9 introvabile, che Gabriele Quattromani pubblic\u00f2 a Napoli nel 1870 col titolo lunghissimo Ll\u2019Ode de Q. Arazio Fracco Travestute da vasciajole de lo Mandracchio co quacch\u2019auta stroppolella fujeticcia pe fa ven\u00ec lo suonno.\u00a0Un volume composito, dunque, nel quale i \u201ctravestimenti\u201d di Orazio, sono accompagnati da composizioni di vario genere e ispirazione.\u00a0 anche se molte di\u00a0queste ultime, apparse in precedenza su famose riviste letterarie napoletane del tempo\u00a0quali l\u2019Omnibus e l\u2019Omnibus pittoresco, sono tutt\u2019altro che \u201cfujeticce\u201d come\u00a0vorrebbe far credere il suo autore, la gloria del volume \u00e8 effettivamente rappresentata\u00a0dalle versioni in napoletano delle odi del Venosino, e dal preziosissimo apparato\u00a0lessicale che la correda….<\/p>\n
