Ecco \u201csimia-m\u201d &gt; scigna = scimmia; \u201csemu-m\u201d &gt; scemo; *exaquu-m &gt; *(ec)saquu-m &gt; sciacquo = vuoto, uovo barlaccio; *(ec)sevolare &gt; scivolare, *(e)xevoliare &gt; sciuli\u00e0; \u201c(ex)s\u00edpidu-m\u201d &gt; sc\u00edpito&#8230;ital. *(ex)seperare &gt; sceverare, \u201c(ex)succu-m\u201d &gt; sciocco&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>3) Nell\u2019iniziale conseguenza *sciliquella, la sincope della vocale atona \u201ci\u201d procur\u00f2 il binomio \u201cl + consonante\u201d, con la frequente vocalizzazione di \u201cl &gt; u\u201d. Ess.: \u201cscaldato\u201d &gt; scaurato, \u201cspelta\u201d &gt; speutra = farro, \u201cimbalsamato\u201d &gt; *mbalzamato &gt; *mbauzamato &gt; (au &gt; o) *mbozamato &gt; (o atona &gt; u) mbuzamato; \u201cscalzo\u201d &gt; *scauzo &gt; sca-v-uzo \/ sca-v-ezo (con \u201c-v-\u201d suono di raccordo)&#8230; Ne consegu\u00ed il passaggio transitorio alla forma *sciuquella.<\/p>\n<p>4) Ora \u00e8 noto che in latino volgare la labiovelare \u201c-qu-\u201d aveva perduto il suo elemento velare \u201cu\u201d, cosicch\u00e9 \u201cusque &gt; *usqe &gt; us-ce, c\u00f2quere &gt; *c\u00f2qere &gt; cu\u00f2-cere, torqu\u00e9re &gt; *t\u00f2rqere &gt; t\u00f2r-ce-re\u201d&#8230; acquistarono suono palatale, lo stesso di quello riguardante il nostro lemma *sciu-ce-lla.
