Era il fasto di quella dimora regale che aveva attirato gi\u00e0 dalle prime fasi della sua costruzione nel 1738 le aristocrazie locali. Il progetto di questo maestoso complesso, ordinato da Carlo III, fu affidato all\u2019architetto Antonio Canevari e questi aveva profuso nell\u2019opera il massimo dell\u2019ingegno sia sotto il profilo strettamente architettonico che, in senso pi\u00f9 lato, artistico.
