The following text is a small part and especially the pages referred on Pompeii of the book “Pigments for paintings and for architecture” of Nicolas Kapetanidis, published in Thessalonica, 2005, in Greek language. The book is addressed mainly to the postgraduate students of the section for the
Restoration of Monuments of the Polytechnic School of Aristotelian University of Thessalonica. The author, chemist specialist on paints, is teaching Inorganic pigments in this section and is also specialized mainly in the technique of ancient and medieval times.
